Hallowe’en is a great time for a date. Here we have a couple of ideas on what to do if you want to either let out the exhibitionist in you, or just fancy an excuse to cuddle up…
Fancy dress party
Even if you’re not hosting one yourself, pubs and clubs up and down the country will be throwing their doors open to ridiculously dressed revellers for the next couple of weekends for fright-themed parties or just general fancy dress nights. There’s no better way to show someone new that you’ve got a sense of humour than by donning a pumpkin costume and parading yourself through the town centre, so either seek out some suitable attire in your nearest novelty shop or get creative and make your own.
Scary movie night
Lots of cinemas will be holding “Fright Night” events this weekend when you can either get a ticket for a single film or stay put for the whole evening of three or four films. You’ll need to ration your popcorn and Coke intake though, or you could end up spending half the evening in the loo! Or if you prefer a more intimate take on the “Fright Night” theme, create your own by stocking up on sweets for the trick-or-treaters, turning the lights down and settling down in front of the TV with a few scary DVDs.
