Profile Checking

Every new profile that’s uploaded on Singles365.com will be checked to make sure it meets our exacting standards. If it doesn’t make the grade it won’t appear on the site and you won’t be bothered by it – that’s our guarantee to you. To ensure we maintain this quality going forward, we will also review any changes or edits to profiles too.

First Message Approval

It’s great to hear from someone new when they join the site, but we want to ensure that they’re sending out the right sort of messages. As a result we’re introducing First Message Approval, which means all new Members will have their first message checked by us – before it ever gets to you.

This will help us identify and prevent messages being used for inappropriate or misleading purposes.

Dictionary

Our new system allows us to check that the wording Members are using in their profiles, messages and diaries are appropriate for the site and do not intentionally offend other Members. This will aid us in preventing any strange or misleading activity taking place on the site, improving your online dating experience.

Our Customer Care and Moderation teams are working hard to help us track down, review and remove false and misleading profiles and inappropriate messaging from Singles365.com.

And with that in mind, we’ve introduced Summary Emails to your notification options.

Your Summary Email will tell you:

Who has viewed your profile
How many messages and winks you have received
How many gifts you have received

To start receiving Summary Emails simply lgo to “My Settings” (under “My Account”). Then choose which notifications you want to receive.

An Ice Breaker is a message that any Member can send (for FREE) to hundreds of people in their area all in one go, introducing themselves and getting lots of attention from all the right ones in the process.

To send one, just select the age of the Members you would like your email to go to and the area they come from, then write your first hello message and click send – it’s that simple!

To be able to send an Ice Breaker message you’ll need to have a complete profile and an approved photo. We want your Ice Breaker to get the best possible response and we know that people are 10 times more likely to respond to someone with a photo (plus, it’s only fair for them to see who you are, isn’t it?!).

So we’ve now added improved message management to the site with our new filtering options which means you can now filter out any contact from Members who don’t match with who you’re looking for.

To set who’s messages, winks and gifts you see in your Inbox just go to the Filtering page (under “My Account”) and choose the criteria that are important to you. You can choose both the age and location of Members, as well as whether they have a photo or not, so you need never be bothered by unsuitable matches again.

These preferences will not stop people who don’t match your criteria from contacting you, it will just hide them from view in your Inbox and you can therefore change your filters or turn them off at any time to see all the people who have sent you something.

Look out for two-way matches among your Recommended Members. These are people who will see you in their Recommended Members list too. Neither of you will have looked at each other’s profile – but we have a feeling you’ll both like each other!

It's easy to find people you fancy with the new 'See More Members Like' functionality!

We’ve also made it easier to find people you fancy.  Just click on the new See More Members Like link next to a profile photo to view all our other similar members.  It couldn’t be simpler to find people you really want to know!

So login to Singles365.com and take a look at your very own Recommended Members and see if you have any two-way matches waiting for you!

If you don’t, do a few searches and look at the profiles of people you’d like to get to know – and then we’ll start suggesting similar members just for you in your perosnalised Recommended Members list.

Ten of our brave “Mo Bros” have made it to the end of Movember, their dignity and ‘taches in tact!!!

The team gathered at Singles365.com HQ yesterday to celebrate in style and, presumably, to discuss the best way of removing the damn thing – when they turned up to work this morning every one of them was clean shaven.

We’re very proud of the guys here and all across the world for their efforts over the past month in raising more than £19m for The Prostate Cancer Charity and helping to raise awareness of many other men’s health issues.

Thanks must also go to the ladies in their lives, not only the wives and girlfriends who have put up with dubious style statements and hedgehog-like kisses, but also their colleagues here at Singles365.com who have, for the most part, resisted the urge to mock and ridicule!!!

Film legend Groucho Marx wore a fake greasepaint moustache on stage and film for many years, not growing a real one until later in life.

It is 100 years since a mustachioed man was last elected as US President. William H. Taft entered office in 1909, succeeding fellow “Mo Bro” Theodore Roosevelt.

Four months after conception fetuses grow tiny moustaches. These don’t fall off until many weeks later and are then digested by the unborn baby.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, in July 1993, Kalyan Ramji Sain of Sundargarth, India, had a mustache that measured 133.4″ (over 11′) in length.

Research found that the average Guiness drinker soaked up a total of 1½ pints of “the black stuff” every year.  That’s nearly £5 worth of stout!!!
